Search² is delighted to be representing a leading national engineering and construction services organisation that is looking to appoint a Health and Safety Advisor to support live projects and client sites across the East of England.

The opportunity
This Health and Safety Advisor job offers a balanced mix of site-based and flexible working, supporting complex engineering and construction environments where strong judgement, credibility, and professionalism are essential.
You will be trusted to manage your own diary, engage directly with operational teams and clients, and provide pragmatic health and safety advice across live projects. The business is led by a Managing Director with a health and safety background, ensuring HSE is not just a compliance function but a core value of the organisation.

What you will be doing
As Health and Safety Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
Providing competent, practical health and safety advice across live client sites and projects
Conducting site inspections, audits, and compliance assessments
Advising on health and safety legislation within engineering and construction environments, including CDM-heavy projects
Supporting operational teams and clients through effective stakeholder management
Contributing to the continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental standards across the region
Operating within live environments where credibility, judgement, and professionalism are critical
What you will need
To be considered for this Health and Safety Advisor position, you will need:
NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
A full UK driving licence
Experience within construction, engineering, or a sector with a comparable risk profile
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients and senior stakeholders
The ability to work autonomously within a delivery-focused organisation
Willingness to travel regionally, including occasional overnight stays
Salary and benefits package

Basic salary of £45,000
£6,000 car allowance
