Search² is currently supporting a leading UK infrastructure and engineering delivery partner in the appointment of a Senior Health and Safety Advisor for a major project based in Plymouth.


This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary of up to £60,000 plus benefits and structured CPD support.


The opportunity sits on a flagship, multi-faceted infrastructure refurbishment scheme involving demolition, heavy civils and complex construction activities. What the Senior Health and Safety Advisor Will Be Doing


The successful candidate will:

  • Support the Contract Leadership Team in delivering SHE objectives

  • Provide independent oversight of safety performance on a major project

  • Engage with principal contractors and supply chain partners

  • Support investigations and ensure robust close-out of findings

  • Analyse SHE data to identify trends and drive improvement plans

  • Participate in assurance and compliance activities

  • Coach operational teams in line with UK construction legislation


This role requires more than site inspections. It requires the ability to operate within structured governance systems, manage performance data and influence improvement at project level.


What We Are Looking For


To be considered for this Senior Health and Safety Advisor job in Plymouth, you will need:

  • Construction or Civil Engineering project experience

  • Experience operating on large or complex infrastructure projects

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum

  • Strong understanding of UK construction legislation

  • Confidence working within digital reporting and structured management systems

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills


Experience on major schemes such as large infrastructure, utilities, defence or nationally significant projects would be advantageous.
