CDM Consultant Job – North West England (Hybrid)

Search² is supporting an established and growing consultancy in the appointment of a CDM Consultant to join their Construction division.

This is a permanent, hybrid role offering £50,000 to £55,000 plus car allowance, bonus and benefits. The position involves home working combined with regional travel across North West England.

About the Consultancy

Our client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy that provides HR, Health and Safety, ISO and Principal Designer services to clients across the UK construction sector.

With over 20 years of consistent year-on-year growth, they have built a strong pipeline of retained clients and repeat business. Their Construction team is a specialist group of CDM and Health and Safety professionals supporting contractors, developers and commercial clients.

This is not a churn-and-burn advisory model. The focus is on long-term relationships and quality service delivery.

The Role: CDM Consultant / Principal Designer

The successful candidate will manage a selective portfolio of construction clients and support them in meeting their duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

Responsibilities will include:

• Acting as Principal Designer on a range of construction projects

• Preparing and reviewing Pre-Construction Information

• Supporting development and review of Construction Phase Plans

• Advising clients on their statutory duties under CDM 2015

• Attending client meetings virtually and face-to-face

• Building trusted, long-term advisory relationships

You will report into the Construction Director and operate within a close-knit team of four specialist CDM professionals.

What We Are Looking For

To be considered for this CDM Consultant job, you should have:

• Experience in a CDM Consultant or Principal Designer role

• Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015

• Construction sector experience

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Willingness to travel across the North West

This role would suit someone who enjoys autonomy, relationship management and technical advisory work, rather than heavy internal KPI tracking.
